If the Captain jumps overboard, the ship sinks with him. That will be the case for the Chargers if we were to let Rivers walk, but how can we when Rivers put up yet another 4,000 yard passing season with 31 Touchdowns to go with it?

Some might argue that his 18 interceptions thrown last season could be a good reason why we could let him walk. Well for starters, the dude played with a bad back for half the season, and the offensive line was horrendous as well, so you can’t put all the blame on #17.

Re-signing Rivers is a no-brainer, nobody has the same level of talent in the free agency market this year…. except for Peyton Manning, but Daddy Manning doesn’t want his boys playing for San Diego. His loss. Telesco should be able to gain agreement on a deal with Rivers for a few more seasons.
