The San Diego Chargers have a lot of huge playmakers that are hitting the free agency market this offseason. One of the bigger names that stand out there for the Chargers is Eddie Royal. Yes, Eddie is a free agent. Royal has played a high level of football as a slot receiver, the output from this guy the past couple season’s has been tremendous. Now we have to deal with the fact that he could possibly not return in 2015. Is that worth it for the Chargers? How badly will that impact our offense? If he leaves, who’s the next man up?

Things will get a little different on offense if for some reason Eddie is let go. Check out his numbers from the past 2 seasons. The guy has racked up just over 1400 yards these past two season, throw in 15 touchdowns as well and you could say he’s had 2 awesome season’s for a slot receiver. He was a huge contributor on big play downs. Eddie managed to snag 16 plays to go for 20+ yards and 4 plays that went 40+ yards within the past couple seasons. No other receiver on the Chargers roster been as explosive as Eddie has been for 2 consecutive years. And that should definitely be something that Telesco has to keep in mind before he decides to let him walk.

So, what exactly will happen to the Chargers offense if we really do end up releasing Eddie? I’ve got 3 different scenarios that could possibly happen if we do indeed let him walk, here’s what I got:
