This is the most disappointing signing by Tom Telesco in 2014. Derek Cox was Tom’s first bad signing and Telesco admitted his mistake by cutting ties with Cox in the offseason. Could he do the same with Brown?
Donald was in his first season with the San Diego Chargers in 2014 and he finished with the lowest rushing yards total of his career. He finished the season with 223 rushing yards and a 2.6 yards per carry average. He didn’t find the end zone once with the Chargers.
The Chargers desperately needed someone to step up in the run game with Ryan Mathews and Danny Woodhead out of the lineup, but Brown wasn’t able to step in to take those carries. He lost carries to ab undrafted rookie RB Branden Oliver.
The Chargers signed Brown to a 3-year deal worth $10.5 million. Seems like a mistake now.
