Dec 20, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers (17) gestures against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi

The offensive line has had struggles this season. Philip Rivers has been getting hit, but they were able to step it up in the second half on Saturday. Philip had a nice pocket to work with. He was able to step into his throws and get the ball out to his receivers. Just watch his highlights on Chargers.com. He was getting some time!

Whoever is asked to play up front for the Chargers on Sunday will have to keep Philip clean. They will have to give him the time to step into his throw and find  his receivers down the field. If we can get him some time against the Chiefs, Philip will be able to chop up the defense again.

The Chargers were even able to run the ball a little without Ryan Mathews in the game. The team picked up 98 yards on their 24 carries. A little over 4 yards per carry. We might have to move Ronnie Brown up on the depth chart for the team. That might be another story for us to talk about at a later time though.
