All of that madness happened in the 3rd quarter! That was a whole lot of scoring going on in there. To close out the 3rd quarter, Philip threw his 3rd interception of the night and gave the ball to San Francisco to start out the 4th. He tried to ger the ball to Inman but it sailed and was behind him.
The teams traded a few possessions and the game seemed like it was going to slip away. The clock looked like it would run out on the Chargers. All the flurry from the 3rd quarter turned into a punting matchup.
With less than 9 minutes left in the game, the Chargers needed to finally score a touchdown to have a chance. They were starting this drive from the 15 yard line. Philip threw nine passes to get the team down the field. He hit Antonio Gates with a 21 yard score.
The drive took 3:40 off of the clock and gave the ball to San Francisco with 5:15 left. Time for the defense again.
