The San Diego Chargers are limping into this game. Philip Rivers missed practice this week with a bad back or bad front or something else bad. He was not feeling up to par and had to sit out. Keenan Allen was not able to hit the practice field this week with his busted collarbone. He will be out for the game. Ryan Mathews was out with the busted ankle. He will not be able to help out the struggling offense either.
Allen and Mathews are two very productive players on offense that will not be able to go. They both may be out for the rest of the regular season. Allen leads the team with 783 receiving yards this season and also has 4 touchdowns. Ryan Mathews was second on the team with 330 yards rushing, but would be leading the team if he could stay on the field. He has only played in 6 games this year because of injuries.
Here is the official practice report from the week for the teChargers:
Hopefully Ladarius Green can get into the game for the Chargers. He could be a key player for the team on offense with the other players sitting on the sideline. Frank Reicht just needs to get him on the field and use him more often. He has 226 yards on offense this season. The team needs to find a way to get him more involved. He has not seen a touchdown yet this season. There were some big expectations of him to start the year, but he has been invisible for most of the year.
