How will Philip perform against the San Francisco 49ers?

The 49ers statistically are one of the best teams at stopping the pass. They allow the 4th lowest completion percentage (58.6 %) and allow the 3rd least yards per game (206 yards per game).

At the end of the day, the team needs more than Philip Rivers to perform. The team will need Branden Oliver. The team will need Antonio Gates. The team will need Malcom Floyd. The team will need Eddie Royal. Someone else has to step up and make some plays on offense.

It will be a struggle, but the defense could help the team out a lot with some big plays. If the defense can force some turnovers and give the offense a short field, it could set things up for a good game.

It will be interesting to see how Philip and company perform.
