Philip Rivers is hurt, but he is going to play. He always plays. There is no doubt he will play. We just don’t know how bad this back/chest/ribs injury is, but we do know that it has kept him out of practice for the last couple of days.

Here is a statement from Philip on why he was not practicing:

“I hate not practicing,” Rivers said.  “But I think at some point you’ve got to do what’s best for me and the team.  Practicing today wouldn’t have been beneficial moving toward Saturday…Where we are in the season, and what I can get done in the walk through, it’s not a major concern.”

How hurt are you Phil? AND how long have you been dealing with these injuries?

Phil has fingers pointing in his direction for the lack of production on offense of late. Those fingers are pointing at everyone on offense. They start at the head coach and go down to the offensive line.

This team used to score touchdowns. 14 points against the Patriots and 10 points against the Denver Broncos will not win games against that caliber of teams. That likely will not win games against the San Francisco 49ers or the Kanas City Chiefs either.

Someone needs to step up. How effective will Philip be?
