What is wrong with Philip Rivers?

The Talent Around Him Needs to Step Up
Just look at the games and notice that the receivers could not get open. What is Philip supposed to do in that situation? Philip is not going to run for the first down, so he needs someone to win their matchup and then he can hit them.
The offensive line has not been playing well in front of him either. He gets hit in games a lot and he has to get rid of the ball quickly in order to make something happen. Could we give him and the receivers some time to get open? That would be a nice thing to have. Hopefully it will be addressed next offseason.
The running game is non-existent. When Ryan Mathews is out (which is all the time), this offense cannot move the ball on the ground. The whole offense is on Philip’s shoulders and nobody else on the team is making plays. There is no balance on this team. Someone needs to step up.
