The easiest way to assure that the San Diego Chargers make the playoffs would be for them to win out. Three games, three victories.
with their backs against the wall playing a must win game to make the playoffs, the Chargers will muster all they have and beat KC
But anyone who watched last nights game and has any sense about football will know that the Broncos front seven are salivating about their chance to face our inexperienced O-line next week and do what the Patriots did to them. I have been saying it for weeks – victories are going to depend on the performance of the O-line. Even if our O-line plays well next week, I don’t believe the talent level can match up to what Denver brings. The only way I see us winning is if McCoy can out-coach the Broncos and find a way to counter a defensive front that is going to stack the box and bring pressure.

So, how do we make the playoffs if we lose next week? First off the Chargers will need to win the last two. SF is struggling. I believe the Chargers can make a trip north and beat the Niners. Then with their backs against the wall playing a must win game to make the playoffs, the Chargers will muster all they have and beat KC on a last second catch in the endzone by a sliding Arijotutu… wait that already happened… A 27 yard run by Branden Oliver with 39 seconds on the clock.
Even if the Chargers win the last two they will need some help. The Ravens and Pittsburgh will be that help. Both of those teams will win out. The Steelers will win the AFC North. The Ravens will pick up the first wild card seed. And the Chargers will pick up the last Wild Card spot and face the Colts in the first round of the playoffs.
… And Cincinnati will be left in the cold.
And that’s how it will go down.
