New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is in town prepping his team to face off against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. He had some great words to say for some of the players on the team, especially Philip Rivers. The topic of former Chargers and former Patriots LB Junior Seau was brought up to Bill and his chances for the Hall of Fame. Bill had nothing but great things to say about Junior:
“Tremendous. I loved Junior and his family. [I] was out here for the funeral and it was very emotional,” Belichick said. “Nobody loved the game more than Junior did. Nobody would be more deserving to be in the Hall of Fame than Junior Seau.
Nobody love the game more than Junior! That statement is so true. You could see how much he loved the game when he was on the field.
Sometimes I forget that Junior was a part of a few other families in the NFL. He was with the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots for a few seasons after his Chargers career. I still will never forget his impact on the Chargers defense and in the community of San Diego.
I still remember his smile and remember his intensity on the football field. Bill Belichick was able to enjoy Junior, just like the fans in San Diego were. Anyone that has seen Junior play knows the type of football player that he was. He is a Hall of Fame player and should be voted in first ballot. There should not be any questions about it when the voting is done. He is eligible this year and should be voted in.
Here is a little remembrance of the greatness that was Junior. It is OK to tear up a little when you watch the video, you are only human.
