It’s always been an unfair advantage for the East Coast teams against West Coast teams. They don’t have to deal with the time change.. the cold weather.. the East Coast bias.. but, the Chargers are not helping their case. It’s clear that Shareece Wright, and Marcus Gilchrist are the weak links on this team, even more than the awful tackling. They have a good-to-bad play ratio that is maddening.

Having said that, what was that interception, Philip? Was there a Charger anywhere near that pass?

The clock management at the end of that drive was a thing of beauty. It was nothing flashy, but it was done properly. Philip may have held the ball on ONE play, but it was still developing. He threw the rest away, and we got points heading into the half. We also get the ball back.

The offensive line has been good enough to win this game. Aside from some stupid plays by Fluker, and Rinehart, they have done their job protecting Philip. Tackling on defense seems to be an immediate issue. Also, coverage. Pressure on the quarterback is an area of concern for yet another week. Pagano needs to get this team pumped in the locker room.

They need to stick with the running game, and open up with Mathews. If they can get him going for the first series or two, they can start using Oliver’s fresh legs! He can come in and get them off their game, and Mathews can punish them hard down the stretch!

Let’s do this! WIN THIS GAME!
