One player that could be in question is Jason Verrett? Verrett has that shoulder injury that likely will need surgery, but the team is delaying putting him on the IR as long as they can. Will the return of Ingram force the team to make a move on their top draft pick?
I would love to have Verrett on the field later in the year, but I am not sure if he has the ability to be productive with that injury. I don’t know how long it will take for him to recover from the surgery at the end of the year also.
He went through the same surgery during the offseason on hos opposite shoulder and it forced him to miss a few games in the preseason. Will he be ready for the regular season next year after surgery?
It will be nice to have Ingram back on the field. He will be able to get the pass rush and will be able to help that secondary out a bit. That is one way to make things easier on that secondary.
