Jason Verrett will not be available in the game because of the torn labrum. Jahleel Addae likely will be sitting on the sideline after the concussion. Brandon Flowers should be back on the field for the Chargers defense.
Philip Rivers will be up against a tough Miami Dolphins defense. He has come back down to earth in the last few games. The offensive line has been struggling to keep Philip standing and has struggled to bust holes for Branden Oliver and the run game.
The Chargers defense will need to slow down Ryan Tannehill. He has been solid this season and will be looking to get the ball to his weapons Mike Wallace and Charles Clay. Wallace will stretch the field and the defense will need to find a way to keep him from beating them over the top. It will be up to Brandon Flowers to slow that thing down.
The Chargers run game will be key in setting up the pass game. Branden Oliver will take the rock and look to move the team down the field. Donald Brown will likely get some chances to take the ball as well. If the team can establish the run game, it will keep the pass rush off of Philip and allow Phil to do his thing.
