There is fear that San Diego Chargers CB Jason Verrett has done more damage to his shoulder and that he could miss some significant amount of time. He will see a specialist early next week.
The Chargers put Jason Verrett on the field against the Denver Broncos knowing that he was still recovering from his shoulder injury and now are facing the possibility of losing him for a significant amount of time with further damage to the shoulder. He will be seeing a specialist early in the week in order to see how much damage has been done to the shoulder.

Verrett has been outstanding in his opportunities on the field. He has been a part of the revival in the secondary, but may not be on the field for a while. Hopefully he will be able to get back on the field this season.
The combination of Jason Verrett, Shareece Wright and Brandon Flowers barely all saw the field at the same time this season. They all have been dealing with some sort of injury at some time this season . It would be nice to end the year with all of them healthy. They have helped bring some life to this defense.
We will learn more next week about the severity of his injury. He had surgery on his other shoulder in the offseason. He will likely be out against the Miami Dolphins in the coming week and will get more time to recover with the BYE week following that. Just hope that he will be able to play later in the year in the big games.
