Fear That Jason Verrett Will Miss Significant Time

There is talk that San Diego Chargers CB Jason Verrett made his shoulder injury worse and could miss significant time. He had surgery to the opposite shoulder in the offseason.

…And let the injuries flood in. Jason Verrett had to be taken out early in the game vs the Denver Broncos because he re-injured his shoulder injury. We already knew that he was playing with a shoulder injury, but it sounds like he made things worse and there is talk that he could miss a significant amount of time because of the injury.

The shoulder injury is to the opposite shoulder that he had a procedure on last offseason, but it still could keep him out for some time. That amount of time is still unknown.

This will be a big blow to the secondary. Watching Richard Marshall on the field is sad and makes me wonder how we actually won games with him as the starter last season. And Derek Cox was worse than him!?

Our secondary will not be the same without the rookie on the field. We need to get these guys healthy and on the field quickly.

Brandon Flowers had to sit out last night vs the Broncos because of an injury he is dealing with. He has been a key contributor to this defense, but he has had nagging injuries throughout the season. Even Shareece Wright has had to deal with nagging injuries during the year.

We need some people to get healthy! We need to find a way to start winning games again. We need to get into the BYE week with a win against the Miami Dolphins or there will be some really depressed fans around these parts.
