Chargers List Richard Marshall, Not Verrett as Starter

With Jason Verrett not being at 100% tonight, he was a game time decision until Michael Ghelkin reported that he is active for the Chargers Broncos showdown.

CB Jason Verrett is active tonight. A nice, needed surprise for Chargers. Was questionable with shoulder injury.

Many fans, just like me, thought that it would be Shareece Wright and Jason Verrett on the outside with Richard Marshall covering the slot, but the coaches put Richard Marshall as the starter over Verrett tonight.

A questionable call indeed, but not surprising. Don’t be too shocked if you barely see Verrett on the field due to precautionary reasons. Better news is that rest is right around the corner.

Chargers list Richard Marshall, not Jason Verrett, as projected starter for Brandon Flowers. Again, we’ll see how much Verrett plays.

Time will tell, but the fact is that turnovers will be key today. It will help if Shareece can actually catch an interception (remember that dopped one last year in the playoffs?) and if captains Corey Liuget and Eric Weddle can make some plays out there.

Let’s hope Marshall has a much better bounce back game this week, but as DJ Fluker says: “WHOMP WHOMP!!!”
