San Diego Chargers injury report for the game on Thursday against the Denver Broncos has been released. Brandon Flowers is listed as OUT. Jason Verrett is listed as questionable and Jerry Attaochu is listed as doubtful.
Brandon Flowers will not be active on Thurday against the Denver Broncos. That is one big piece to the defense that we will be missing against Peyton Manning. Flowers has been one of our strongest defenders on the field this season and has played a big part in making this defense stronger, but he will have to sit out on the sideline because of the concussion that he suffered in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He still is not ready to go and will have to be in street clothes in this rivalry game.

NEXT MAN UP!
Flowers will be missed on the field and hopefully he will be replaced by rookie Jason Verrett. Verrett didn’t play in the game last weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs because of the shoulder injury, but he has been able to get some work in practice this week. He has been declared questionable for the game against the Broncos. We will have to see if he is able to join the rest of the team on the field tomorrow.
If we can’t have Flowers, it would be nice to at least have Verrett on the field. He has been outstanding in the games that he has been able to play and would be needed to help slow down the Broncos offense. Otherwise, we might as well watch Peyton toss touchdowns all day.
If Verrett is able to play, the Chargers would start with Shareece Wright and Jason Verrett on the outside. Richard Marshall likely would be the next man up if the team needs more corners on the field. Verrett might be pushed into the nickel role when they need to bring another corner onto the field.
