Charger Running Backs – What Do You Think?

As many of you have probably noticed, I am a stat guy.  Stats are emotionless, unbiased, and cold.  Stats don’t feel.  They are not fanatics.  They are not irrational and blinded by passion.  However, there are not stats for everything.

For example is there a stat that tells me if Ryan Mathews or Branden Oliver has better patience in the running game? Maybe there is.  I know there are people who provide stats where they grade every player on every play… talk about exhausting.  But in all honestly you really need to watch the plays and make a guess at whether a player is exercising patience or not and allowing blocks to set up.  That’s why scouts and coaches make so much money, right?

I fear I am rambling.  Lets get to the heart of the matter.  San Diego has many running backs and they are all different.  And being emotional, irrational fans we love all of them when we are winning and hate all of them when we lose.  But what if you had the chance to tell everyone on the internet who you thought was the best at certain aspects of the game.  It would be pretty awesome.

Well, It is your lucky day, because I am providing you with just such an opportunity.  Take the following list, copy and paste into the comments and then behind each attribute put who you think is the best Charger RB at each one.

If some of you are like, “What do the words mean?”  here is a quick rundown.

Speed – Top speed. Can you outrun people?Acceleration – How fast do you get through the hole?Quickness – How fast can you change directions?Moves – Can you make a guy miss?Vision – Do you see the play developing? or collapsing?Patience – Can you dance in a safe spot while blocks set up?
