We can put the Oakland game to rest and just look at what they have done overall.

Here are some notes from XTRA 1360 today:

According to @PFF, Jason Verrett is rated the 4th best CB in the NFL! Who's #1 you ask? Brandon Flowers. #InTelescoWeTrust

When Derek Carr targeted @Chargers CB Jason Verrett on Sunday, he had a QB rating of 8.9. #IsThatGood?

Brandon Flowers and Jason Verrett are at the top of the league at their positions. They have been getting the job done in the secondary and it has shown on the field. THey have been locking it down.

The biggest tests are about to come though. The team had a soft schedule to begin the season and we all knew that the team needed to get out of the gates hot. Things are going to get a little tougher now and the secondary will have to keep up their great play.

Alex Smith will be coming to town this week and then we get Peyton Manning in the following week. The Chargers will have to do work to get some wins in these two games. The secondary will have to step up big.
