If anyone has ever watched the games against the Oakland Raiders for all these years, we know that the records can be thrown out of the door when these two teams meet.
The Raiders gave the Chargers all that they could handle in Oakland. Derek Carr was slinging the ball all over the field and beating the single coverage. The Chargers struggled to get to Derek Carr and he was picking the secondary apart.
In the end, Philip Rivers and company was able to move the ball down the field with the passing game and with Branden Oliver to win the game. Philip threw 3 touchdowns in the game, but the key drive in the final quarter was led by the rookie running back Branden Oliver. He picked up big chunks of yards down the field and picked up the final touchdown by jumping over the pile at the goal line to put the Chargers up 3.
Tough game, but the Chargers found a way to win. It wasn’t pretty and there will be things to be cleaned up, but they got out with the win.
Chargers are now 5-1 and get a big win in the division!
