D.J. Fluker is on the practice field today. Big news for the San Diego Chargers offensive line. He hurt his ankle on Sunday against the New York Jets when Donald Brown rolled up on him. He tried to finish the game, but had to be taken to the sideline.
If all things are good, he should be good to play on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. It would be nice to keep the big man on the field to protect Philip Rivers and to create some holes for Branden Oliver to run through.
Hopefully Fluker will be able to play at 100%. We don’t need the injury to be reoccurring and we need him for the next few games against the Chiefs and the Broncos.
If Fluker is unable to play on Sunday, the team will have Willie Smith start the game and will likely have to call up someone from the practice squad to be on the roster.
#Chargers RT D.J. Fluker, sidelined of late w/ankle injury, is practicing today. Greeted enthusiastically by teammates in individual drills.
