The San Diego Chargers will have to stay focused in this game and put out a maximum effort against the Oakland Raiders. They will need to show up to the game and beat a team that is going through a lot of changing parts. They have not won this season and have a new head coach running the show. They are just coming off of their BYE week and should be plenty rested for the Chargers.
The Chargers will be up against a rookie quarterback and they will look to disrupt his timing on his throws. This will be the 2nd rookie quarterback that the Chargers have faced this season.
Here are some key players for the San Diego Chargers defense this weekend:
This game will be won up front. The Chargers will need to get pressure on Derek Carr and force him to make mistakes. They need to get the rookie into some uncomfortable situations and make sure to make him feel the hits.
They will go into the game looking to rattle him like they did Geno Smith last weekend. Freeney has been the best at getting to quarterbacks this season and he should be able to get a sack or two this weekend. I am not sure if Carr will expect a defender down his neck as quick as Freeney is able to get there.
