The San Diego Chargers have waived Kevin Reddick today. He was brought in to provide some depth at the linebacker spot and to bring in some help on special teams.

The Chargers filled that roster spot by singing RB Ronnie Brown. With the injury to Donald Brown, the team decided to bring back someone that is familiar with the system and can help the team in the run game.

Brown can give Philip Rivers protection in the backfield and will be an option in the passing game. He possibly could move above Shaun Draughn on the depth chart. I guess we will take the veteran that is familiar with the system right back. He can block for Philip Rivers and give him more time to get the ball out to his receivers.
