Chargers fans will keep their eyes on the status of RT D.J. Fluker this week. He is one of the big names that went down this weekend against the Jets. Fluker was seen at the end of the game on crutches (UT San Diego). That can’t be a pretty site and that also has to be some super strong crutches!!!!

Fluker injured his ankle in the game. A defender spun off his block and he allowed a sack on Philip Rivers on the play and you could see that Fluker was feeling some pain after he let his by get through.

I believe that Fluker hurt his ankle earlier in the game and tried to fight through the pain. He had been limping around on the field foor a little bit and that play finally ended his day. Either he didn’t feel like his ankle was too much of a hinderance after that play or he just couldn’t deal with the pain any longer.

He got an MRI today and he didn’t go on the IR list. That has to be some good news for the team. Doug Legursky ended up on the IR, but Fluker still is an option on the roster.

Fluker is a tough SOB and is a leader on the offensive line. We need him to get back on the field and we will all be keeping our eyes on his status.
