Branden Oliver has been getting all the buzz today for his performance against the top rushing defense in the league. AND HE SHOULD!!!!!

The Chargers struggled to move the ball on the ground this season until Oliver exploded onto the scene yesterday. He found the holes to run through and even found the feed to stretch the runs to the outside. He made plays in the pass game and in the run game as well.

His production was needed for the team and for this offense. it wasn’t necessarily needed on Sunday, but it was needed to bring some confidence to the guys up front and to the rest of the offense. He found the holes and showed his strength with his little frame.

I love the way this kid runs. For a tiny frame, he is able to hide behind his offensive linemen and get lost be the defenders like Darren Sproles was able to do. He showed that he doesn’t go down easy either. He was using his stiff arm like Ladainian Tomlinson used to do and he would bounce off of defenders like Mike Tolbert did.
