Every time that the camera was on the Jets quarterback, he was laying on the ground. We know that the defense was having their way when we saw that. Geno Smith had his head knocked off in one of the first plays of the game and he didn’t last into the second half. The Jets decided to give Michael Vick a shot at the game and he wasn’t able to do much in his opportunity either.
The San Diego Chargers steamrolled over the New York Jets today at home. The offense had their way as well. Philip Rivers was able to move the ball down the field again and the Chargers run game made an appearance in the game as well with Branden Oliver making big things happen. Oliver had a solid game running the ball and catching the ball. He needs to get more opportunities. He needs to be the starter if Ryan Mathews is out again. We found a player there.
The only tough part of the game were the injuries again. Will the Chargers have enough players to finish this season? Donald Brown went out. D.J. Fluker went out. Johnnie Troutman. Doug Legursky. Jason Verrett. Too many injuries for the Chargers again and the team will be hobbling into their next game.
