Mike McCoy: They Can’t Cover Us, Do What You Want

Chargers.com just put up a Mic’d up spot with Mike McCoy and the part that stood out the most to me is a section where Mike is on the mic and he is saying, “they can’t cover us so do what you want.” He even repeated himself.

I am not sure if he was talking to Frank Reich or Philip Rivers on the com, but he gave the keys over and knew that the team would succeed in moving the ball down the field.

With Eddie Royal, Malcom Floyd, Antonio Gates and Keenan Allen all on the field at the same time, not many teams have the ability to cover all the weapons that Philip Rivers has at his dispense. That is why this team’s offense is moving the ball down the field against some of the best.

The Chargers have a lot of players on offense that can win their individual matchup and Philip Rivers is getting the ball to them.

THEY CAN’T COVER US! I am sure that will be said many times throughout the season.
