The San Diego Chargers are rising up the power rankings again and now are sitting in the top 3 of NFL.com’s rankings. The Chargers moved up a spot and are sitting at 3. Here is the commentary on the listing:
Give Philip Rivers control of the offense from the line of scrimmage. Give him another monster game (377 yards passing and three touchdowns). Give him the MVP at the quarter pole. Nice to see Malcom Floyd running around out there making plays. That touchdown pitch-and-catch from Rivers was a beaut.
It is crazy that nobody gave this team love in the preseason and in training camp, but after 4 weeks of the season, people are recognizing the talent on the roster. The Chargers always had a good roster going into the season. The team made the playoffs last year and didn’t lose anyone during the offseason. They just added more playmakers to their roster. The team had to get better.
It has and people finally are taking notice. The Chargers will have a couple of games to tune up before they face the Chiefs and Broncos. I wonder when we will be at the top spot? Maybe after we sweep through these next 4 games with wins.
