With the 33-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-4), the San Diego Chargers take the lone lead in the AFC West.  The 2-1 Denver Broncos slide back a game due to their early bye week.  The Oakland Raiders lost in typical fashion to the Miami Dolphins 38-14 during their game in London, solidifying their spot in last place with an 0-4 record.  The Kansas City Chiefs are currently 1-2 and play the New England Patriots tonight on Monday Night Football.  A win, however, will still keep them in 3rd place.  So, stacked up, the standings look like this.

San Diego Chargers 3-1

Denver Broncos 2-1

Kansas City Chiefs 1-2

Oakland Raiders 0-4

The Chargers are poised for a few more wins.  Next up are the 1-3 New York Jets at home, followed by the Raiders in Oakland and then the Chiefs back at home.  These three games should be easy victories for the Bolts, so look for their record to be 6-1 by the time they face off with Denver at Mile High in week 8.  This will prove to be the Bolts next big challenge and a chance to put an asterisk on Philip Rivers run for NFL MVP.

Rivers threw for 377 yards and three touchdowns yesterday adding to his already impressive season total making it 1,155 yards and 9 touchdowns.  Yesterdays  passer rating of 130.0 puts him at number two behind the Colts Andrew Luck.  Luck is at a 123.3 rating, but had one more TD.  There is not another AFC West QB in the top ten.
