The Chargers Made a Mistake In Releasing Marion Grice…Unless?

A lot of Chargers fans are going to come up to me and say, Branden Oliver is better to keep on the team, you’re not right, etc.
I understand that Grice may be a future Raider now, but listen, Marion Grice had a better preseason then Branden Oliver period. Despite the show Oliver put on the Dallas Cowboys in week one, Grice did just as well or outperformed him in every other game. We may have just released the future of San Diego’s backfield….
Therefore I think it is 100% safe to say that the San Diego Chargers made a mistake in releasing Marion Grice. Unless…. We get Kevin Vickerson.
Vickerson would add so much to this defense. With Kendall Reyes not living up to expectations and Sean Lissemore being questionable, he would add depth to this line. UT San Diego has already reported that the Chargers showed interest in the 31 year old veteran.
“The Chargers have little experience on their defensive line depth. It’s possible that soon could change. The team has expressed in former Broncos nose tackle Kevin Vickerson, sources said Sunday. The 31-year-old has started 43 career games, including 25 the past two seasons. It would be premature, however, to say a signing is imminent.”
Let’s make it happen Tom Telesco. While I still don’t understand why we released such a talented back, we could still make use of the roster spot and get “Big Vick.”
