I just saw that Chargers.com posted their keys to the game for the San Diego Chargers against the San Francisco 49ers and I didn’t even open it. It is a preseason matchup and there is only one key that matters.

DO NOT GET HURT!!!!

That is the only key that matters. The important players are going to get their most action on the field in this preseason game and it puts them all out there in a game that means nothing.

DO NOT GET HURT!!!!

The field conditions have been talked about in San Francisco and it has to be a bit of a concern. A couple of players like Jason Verrett and Dwight Freeney might see their first preseason action and we just want to make sure that they are ready for week 1.

The preparation for the regular season is big. The guys need to get into a rhythm and get the reps, but at the end of the game, we just want to see everyone walk away without a trip to the trainer’s room.
