San Diego Chargers rookie RG Chris Watt has been taken off of the field after running through some short yardage drills and losing his helmet. He was shaken up and was taken to the locker rooms.

Watt is going to be a big part of the plans this season. With Jeromey Clary still recovering from surgery, the team is relying on the young rookie to get the reps and possibly take over the starting job. With Watt going down, the team stuck Johnnie Troutman into the starting rotation to get the reps with the team.

If Jeromey Clary is going to miss time during the regular season, the team has Chris Watt at the top of the depth chart to start on the offensive line. He would work with D.J. Fluker on the right side of the line.

Hopefully he was just shaken up a bit and will be good to get back on the practice field.
