Jason Verrett is getting used to rocking that red jersey during practice. Some people might mistake him for a Kansas City Chief for wearing red all the time… or mistake him for a quarterback.
Verrett has been rocking that red jersey to make sure that the other players on the roster limit the contact against him. The team wants his shoulder to recover and they are taking the steps needed to get him ready for the first game of the year.
Brandon Flowers is not practicing today. This is the 5th straight practice that he has missed and he is likely to miss Thursday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Like I posted yesterday, as long as these guys are ready for the start of the season, I will be happy. Of course I am anxious to see them on the field, but it is the first preseason game and it will be better for the other players on the roster to get some reps and work on making it to the final 53.
