After I posted up a piece on the different things that I wanted to watch this Thursday with the San Diego Chargers playing against the Dallas Cowboys, I get this news:

With Verrett and Flowers limited in some capacity, neither of team's top CB additions expected to play Thursday. Doubt Chargers concerned.

Jason Verrett and Brandon Flowers both will likely be sitting on the sideline for the game. Both were listed by name in the article that I just posted!

I guess we will have to see Steve Williams and Shareece Wright get some playing time on defense. Richard Marshall has been getting some love in training camp as well. They are not the corners that I would want to see in the first preseason game, but they will have to do.

Why does it seem that every year we have a rookie miss some time in the preseason? Every season it is some high draft pick that has to wait some time before they are able to get on the field? I am sure it happens to every team, but it is annoying as hell! As long as these guys are healthy during the regular season, that is all I am asking for!
