I can’t believe that the first game of the preseason is coming up for the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers will be facing the Dallas Cowboys in our lovely Qualcomm Stadium on Thursday. There are a lot of things that I will be keeping my eyes on during the day. I still can’t believe that we are doing a bit of a preview on a game that is coming up THIS WEEK!!!!

Here are a few things that I will be looking to see on Thursday:

Malcom Floyd

I just want to see how the dude looks in a game. He has been through practice and has done well, but he hasn’t taken a hit from the opposing team yet. I want to see what he can do for the offense. He might not get much action on the field on Thursday, but I will be paying attention when he is on the field.

Jason Verrett and Brandon Flowers

I pretty much want to see what all the corners are doing on the field. I want to see what the new corners will provide to the team, but I also want to see what Steve Williams and Shareece Wright and Richard Marshall are going to do as well. I am excited for the group.

Jeremiah Attaochu

Jerry should see some good action on Thursday. I want to see how he does on the field against competition. I want to see pressure coming off of that edge.

The returner jobs

Who in the heck is going to return the kickoffs and punts on this roster? We need someone to be consistent and provide a boost.

Tevin Reese

There is something about this kid’s speed that is intriguing. I want to see how the Chargers use him on offense and in the return game. I want to see some big plays.

Marion Grice

If you couldn’t tell, I want to see our rookies. I can’t wait to see the new additions on the roster. Grice doesn’t get much hype with all the players in front of him, but he still could be a playmaker on this roster as a returner or as an option in the backfield.
