Jeremiah Attaochu Struggling In Run Defense…For Now

By Sam Kweon

As I watched the controlled scrimmage at FanFest, one thing stood out to me the most.

Jeremiah Attaochu, for now, is not good at run stopping. He performed well on passing situations but the second round pick out of Georgia Tech is still very raw.

In fact, I believe it may take him a couple of years for the 21 year old to reach his potential. But there is no doubt that the sky is the limit for this beast because of his traits on the gridiron.

Attaochu plays with ruthless agression and that is what held back players such as Larry English, so I’m sure that he won’t be a bust. But like I mentioned earlier, I noticed that Attaochu had problems stopping the run.

It looks like John Gennaro from BoltsFromTheBlue did too.

It’s not really a problem. The roster consists of plenty of outside linebackers so that will give Jeremiah some time to develop.

Before you get ready to tell me that I’m being too harsh, I am sure that Jeremiah Attaochu will have an impact this season on passing situations, which is exactly what we need! And the fact that we have Dwight Freeney on the roster means that he should be soaking up anything the future Hall Of Famer says.
