It is training camp time and any injury that puts starting players on the sideline will perk up an eyebrow or two. Today’s practice has Nick Hardwick on the sideline with Rich Ohrnberger finishing up the day working with the first team as the starting center.

Ohrnberger filled in as the backup center last season for any time that Hardwick had to sit on the sideline. He did a fine job anytime he was called to duty.

Ohrnberger was a free agent this offseason and was re-signed to provide the depth up front. There were some teams that saw him as a possible starting guard, but the Chargers were able to bring him back and his presence on the roster will give the team some ease if Hardwick has to sit on the sideline for any amount of time.

There still is no news on the injury for Hardwick, but we will keep a lookout to see the scoop on the injury.
