San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown has been sidelined since Friday with a calf injury. He is fighting to keep his job as the 4th receiver on the roster, but this injury is allowing other players the opportunity to take his role.

Dontrelle Inman has been getting the reps while Brown has been sitting on the sideline and has been impressive during his time on the field. This could be Inman’s opportunity to take a roster spot. If Brown were to miss any time during the preseason, it will open up some playing time for Inman to make that impression in front of the fans.

Brown has struggled with injuries during his career. He was able to stay on the field last season, but he didn’t make the impact that many people had been looking for. He needs to have a good camp to show his value. He is holding onto that 4th wide receiver spot at this point, but injuries are hurting him at this point.
