This should make fans happier about his contract. He was making a ton of money for a right guard and now has reduced that number. The team has redone his deal and he is now has a friendlier contract.
Clary is currently on the PUP list and is unable to practice with the rest of his team. He is recovering from shoulder surgery and the timetable on his return is still up in the air. With him on the sideline, rookie Chris Watt has been getting the bulk of the work with the first team. Johnnie Troutman has also been mixed in with the first group at right guard.
Even if Clary is not the starter up front at right guard this season, he would be a good backup to keep on the roster. He would bring depth at both the right guard and right tackle positions.
