A couple of the San Diego Chargers players had to cut practice short today because of the heat. Johnnie Troutman and Chris Watt both went back into the locker room early with the sun blazing out onto the field this morning.
A few chargers players went in early today including G's Chris's watt and johnnie Troutman. Mike McCoy tells me they were heat related.

Today is the first day that the team put on pads and it was a warmer day out. I just checked the weather report for the day and it says that it is a whopping 77 degrees out… hahahaha. If you are out in San Diego, you understand that it is a more humid than usual out today. I went out to the field to play some soccer with my kids at 8am this morning and they were dying. It was a little warmer than usual.
The competition is going to get heated on the field. Players are fighting for jobs at this time and they will be doing whatever they can to get a roster spot. We just want to make sure that everyone gets into the regular season in good health. Going back in dehydrated is better than heading into the locker room with a busted knee.
