I know you think that something might be wrong with Bolt Beat with all these updates on the weekend. I have to get prep for the regular season somehow. We all know that the updates on the weekends pick up during the regular season. Trying to get back on my game with this. It might take some time, but we are doing our best to bring the updates to the weekends. We have to bring the crowd back for the weekend.
We might as well keep checking in on the offensive side of the football with this training camp preview. We looked over the wide receiver group and the running back group already, this time let’s take a look over at the tight end position. Who is locked in on a roster spot and who is on the bubble?
Let’s take a little look in on the roster right now.
KEEPERS
Antonio Gates and Ladarius Green
We all know who the top guys at the tight end position are and they will be looking to do some damage this season. Antonio Gates still has Hall of Fame abilities on the field. He might not be able to consistently get open, but he still has those hands and the ability to box people out for the football.
Ladarius Green is the rising star that will be taking more and more snaps on offense. He can stretch the field with his uncanny combination of speed and size.
ON THE BUBS…
David Johnson, John Phillips, Jake Byrne, Ryan Otten, Michael Flacco
Johnson and Phillips have the best shot at winning roster spots. They both are known as blocking tight ends and could play some fullback if they needed to. With the Chargers lacking a proper fullback on the roster, both of those guys could fill the spot.
