The San Diego Chargers have made the roster move to make some space for Brandon Flowers by releasing Brandon Jones off of the roster, per Chargers twitter account. Flowers could make up to $5 million for this contract, but the team was able to mastermind a contract that worked under the salary cap.

Jeromey Clary’s name came up as a possible player to be released, but since the team was able to work a cap friendly contract they didn;t have to deal with cutting the vet off of the roster.

I like that the team is able to keep Clary on the roster. He is a tough player up front and has the ability to play multiple positions on the line. He might not be the best player we have, but he is the best option that we have at this time.
