No news is good news for Malcom Floyd

Mandatory Credit: Howard Smith-USA TODAY SportsThere has not been a lot of chatter about Malcom Floyd lately. That has to be a good thing. He worked with the rest of the team during the offseason program and had no setbacks. The next test will come in training camp, when he will get hit a little more often. Then comes the preseason when other teams will start hitting him. He is going to take a few big hits. We will be waiting to see how he responds to them.
Running around with the rest of the team, he has not had any struggles. If he is able to come back to the field without any fear, then we will have a solid group of receivers. It will be nice to see another receiver on the roster that can open up the field.
It is going to be fun seeing Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd running routes at the same time on offense. Eddie Royal will kill it in the slot and Vincent Brown will get chances to make plays. The group shapes up well if they are able to stay healthy.
Having Malcom on the field will give Philip Rivers comfort in his weapons on offense. He already had a lot of trust throwing the football to Malcom. He gained a lot of trust out of Allen last season. The combination should be making plays all over the field. It will be fun to see.
