Former Kansas City Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers is expected to make a decision on his destination by the middle of the week, per Jason LaCanfora. He visited the San Diego Chargers last week and would be a nice option for the secondary. He fits the Chargers defensive scheme well. He is able to play that off coverage well and knows how to make a hit.

If/when the San Diego Chargers were to sign him, he would compete for a starting job on the outside with Jason Verrett, Steve Wiliams, Shareece Wright and Richard Marshall. It would be a fun battle to watch. He also would be a nice option at the nickel spot.

The Chargers look to be one of the favorites to land Flowers. I didn’t hear of other visits from Flowers, but I do know that there was a lot of interest around the league.
