When Brown was first taken by the Chargers out of San Diego State, fans were excited about his potential in the Chargers offense. He excelled in the little time that he was able to get on the field in Norv Turner’s offense, but he had to fight through some nagging injuries in that first season and didn’t get much action. The team was looking forward for an impact in his second season but that was cut short because of a nasty ankle injury.

He finally got his chance to play last season and he didn’t quite reach the expectations that fans had of him. He struggled to get open. He struggled to produce. There were a number of games where he didn’t even have a catch. He was a ghost.

This will be his last season under his rookie contract, so he will need to impress the coaching staff and other teams around the league if he wants to get a nice deal. He has shown the potential in the past. He showed that he will fight for the football. He showed the ability to run crisp routes. We just need to see it again and more consistently.
