San Diego Charges head coach Mike McCoy was not happy with the way some things happened in practice today. He was not happy with his team and possibly their effort in practice today.
He sat the team down at the end of the day and had this to share with them:
“It’s got to be important for everyone to come out every day and get better as a football team,” said McCoy, via NBC San Diego. “That’s the most important thing I wanted to let everybody know today. We’ve set a standard around here of what’s acceptable and what’s not, and certain parts of practice were not good enough today.”
Certain things were not good enough today!
It is the third week of OTAs and possibly some of the players are getting a little too relaxed. They are getting a little too comfortable and not pushing as hard as they were at the start of OTAs.
Hopefully the speech will inspire them for the last week of OTAs. The team just needs to get through this and will have a little break before training camp kicks off.
We need to keep getting better.
