Tight End (4) Antonio Gates, Ladarius Green, John Phillips, David Johnson
The Chargers kept 3 tight ends last season, but will likely move that up to 4 this coming season without having a true fullback on the roster.
We all know what Antonio Gates brings to the table. He isn’t young Gates anymore, but he still knows how to get open and still knows how to move the chains. He will be consistent and will be a solid option in the passing game.
Ladarius Green is going to get into the mix more on offense and is likely one of the reasons the team didn’t bring in a wide receiver in the draft. He will be a big time threat and the team should be using more 2 tight end sets during the year.
John Phillips and David Johnson are big blocking tight ends that can also be used in the backfield as fullbacks.
No real competition for those roster spots.
