The Chargers are really focusing on bringing in returners. They just signed Auburn cornerback Chris Davis. Davis is a 5’10”, 202 lb. corner that is physical in run support and in zone coverage. Davis is a passionate football player and was a well-respected captain for Auburn’s defense. He is most notable for his efforts as a returner, specifically for that game-winning, 109-yard FG return against Alabama. He has potential as a returner for the Chargers. He is very shifty and can break arm tackles in space.

Davis is also known for getting burned on two plays in a row by Kelvin Benjamin in the 2014 National Championship. He was called for a pass interference giving FSU the ball on the 2-yardline, then was outjumped by Benjamin for the game-winning TD.
