The San Diego Chargers have made their choice with the top selection and took the top corner that was available on the board by taking TCU CB Jason Verrett. Verrett has some size concerns, but he is one of the best corner prospects in the draft. He can really lock down one side of the field. Teams are going to challenge him because of his size, but it was not an issue for him during college.

The last time that the Chargers took a player from TCU was RB Ladainian Tomlinson.

Verrett will have to prove that his size is not an issue. Brent Grimes was one of the best corners in the game last season and he is the same size as Verrett. Verrett will be a starter on defense with Shareece Wright. Now the team will look to add a few more players on the defensive side of the ball in the next few rounds.

The Chargers have some help in the secondary now.

What are your thoughts with the selection?
